Luck 2's next season announced following leak
Following a leaked refe along Razer's Cortex optimisation tool, Bungie has now officially declared the name and main character of Fortune 2's side by side season, which is due to launch next Tuesday. Named Season of the Lost, IT features the return of the Awoken queen Mara Sov later an extended absence shadowing the Forsaken enlargement.
As posted to Reddit, Razer's Cortex optimization tool jumped the gun on a series of adverts early now. Now Bungie has tweeted out the season's name, alongside the date and time of next calendar week's Destiny 2 Showcase—which volition detail some this upcoming season and next year's Witch Queen expansion.

There's a further subplot here, inasmuch as this information lends further credence to a 'Pastebin' escape. Destiny's community has been arguing within itself for a little while like a sho or so the veracity of this prolonged infodump, but increasingly IT's info seems to be true. The outflow also references a religious ritual rocket launcher with the rare Volatile Light perk, which was revealed in yesterday's This Week at Bungie post. Au fon, some of the Pastebin leak has been shown to embody true—Beaver State at least close—and some, such arsenic a mooted Ring crossover, remains far-fetched.
Mara Sov is a long-remove and key Destiny character. Her traditional knowledge is also buckwild. She is the immortal queen of one of the game's main three player races (the Awoken), who died in an attack on 1 of the original Hive, but then came back because of a Luck macguffin known as a Throne World. Still with me? Good because Mara also kept a dragon, Riven, who granted wishes (?) but Riven was corrupted and then players had to kill it (?!?) BUT killing it granted the want of the big bad of the succeeding expansion, forcing The Dreaming Urban center into a time iteration (!?!?!?!?!). This curse—which players unsuccessfully tried to cave in after being lied to by a lore Holy Scripture—is ongoing, and wish likely be addressed this flavour.
She's too got a comrade, Udren, who was killed at the end of the Forsaken expansion and later resurrected into a Guardian with no memory of his previous life. He's called Crow now. He's nice.
Mara's much-or-less a reluctant friend, often seeking Guardians' assistanc, but usually American Samoa a way to further her own ends. Bungie's teaser image also shows Osiris, last seen scarpering away from the fight with the Vex at the end of the current temper.
You can see the full pastebin leak here, though proceed with caution: despite the accuracies, much is silence unconfirmed—and straight if IT is true, information technology goes heavy on potential plot points and early details. Determination tabu the make of a new season early is one thing, but I don't know why you'd want to know the ending several months out.
Season of the Lost launches close Tuesday, August 24.
